The ASWB licensing examinations are what US and Canadian jurisdictions use to license social workers. There are five categories — Associate, Bachelors, Masters, Advanced Generalist and Clinical — and each exam is 122 multiple-choice questions, of which 110 are scored and 12 are unscored pretest items, in two sections of 61 with 240 minutes in total.

Your state or provincial board decides, based on your degree and your supervised experience. Associate and Bachelors share one content outline and one question bank and differ only in passing standard. Masters is for master’s-level practice, Advanced Generalist for non-clinical practice with two years of experience, and Clinical for clinical practice with two years of experience. One purchase here covers all five.

ASWB sets the passing standard per category and it is not a fixed percentage. Confirm the current standard with ASWB and your board. What we can say usefully: aim for sustained accuracy well above what you think you need, so you have headroom on the day.

ASWB sets no overall cap, but it does set a wait: “You must wait at least 90 days to retake any Social Work Licensing Examination.” If your score was within 10 points of passing you may request a waiver of that wait, if your jurisdiction allows waivers — and you must wait 24 hours after the exam before requesting one. Some states add their own limits on top: Mississippi requires an appeal to its board after four failed attempts, for instance. Check your own board as well as ASWB.

There is no fixed sitting calendar. The exams are delivered continuously at Pearson VUE test centres and you schedule your own appointment once your state board authorises you to test. Confirm the current process with your state board and with ASWB.

Yes. The content outline that took effect on 3 August 2026 is the one every lesson and question here was written against, including the exact content-area weighting for each exam category. Anything published before that date describes the retired 2018 structure. Outline updates are always included in your existing purchase at no extra cost.

There is nothing to download and keep. What you do keep is access: lifetime means lifetime, including anything added later.

The bank is imported from the app’s content pipeline, and every import is checked against the published outline before it ships. What we will not claim is a review cadence we cannot show you: the lessons are currently marked draft, and nothing on this site says otherwise until that changes.

Yes. Authentication is handled by Supabase (SOC 2 Type 2), passwords never touch our servers, every user-scoped table is protected by row-level security. Payment details are held by Dodo Payments — we only see the confirmation.
