Privacy Policy

ASWB Master ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at aswbmaster.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our ASWB exam preparation platform. ASWB Master is developing a separate iOS app, which is not released yet; when it launches it will be an independent product with its own billing, and the additional third-party services it will rely on are listed in section 5.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

• Email address (required for account creation)
• Display name (optional, set in your profile)
• Authentication data via Google OAuth or email/password

Study Progress Data

• Quiz and mock exam scores, answers, and completion times
• Topics viewed and study notes accessed
• Practice sessions and bookmarked questions
• Study streaks and daily activity
• Weak area identification and performance analytics

Payment Information

• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.
• We receive confirmation of payment status, transaction ID, and purchase type (one-time or subscription).

Support Enquiries

• The question you send us, and the email address you give us so we can reply
• Which page you asked from, so we can understand the question in context
• A one-way hashed form of your IP address, used only to rate-limit our public enquiry form. We do not store the address itself and the hash cannot be reversed back into one.
• If you ask a question without an account, we may add your email to our ASWB exam study tips list. Every one of those emails has a one-click unsubscribe link, and existing customers are never added.

Usage Data

• Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
• Device type, browser, operating system, and screen resolution
• IP address (anonymised in analytics)

• Provide and maintain our ASWB exam preparation service
• Track your study progress, streaks, and performance analytics
• Identify weak areas and personalise your study experience
• Process payments and manage your premium access for the duration of the plan you purchased
• Send essential service communications (e.g., password resets, payment confirmations)
• Analyse usage patterns to improve our content and features
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send promotional marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. As an existing customer you may occasionally receive a service-related message about your account or your experience with us (for example, a request to leave a review) — you can opt out of these in one click at any time.

• Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with databases hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
• Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely using HTTP-only cookies.
• We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Dodo Payments — payment processing
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery

Our separate iOS app is not released yet. When it launches it will be an independent product and will additionally use:

• Apple App Store — in-app purchases and subscription billing
• RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management
• Firebase (Google) — app usage analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify — update or correct inaccurate personal data
• Delete — permanently delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings
• Export — request an export of your study progress data
• Withdraw consent — opt out of non-essential data collection at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@aswbmaster.com or use the account management features in your profile.

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, all personal data and study progress is permanently removed from our systems.
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for service improvement purposes.
• Payment records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

We use a limited number of cookies:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. These are anonymised.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

ASWB Master is designed for social work students and practitioners preparing for the ASWB social work licensing examinations. Our service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review. Your continued use of ASWB Master after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
